Martin Olivier

Academic

Martin Olivier graduated from the Port Elizabeth Technikon (now NMU) with a National Diploma (1996) and postgraduate Batchelors Degree in Architectural Technology (1999).

Professional

He has been registered as a Professional Senior Architectural Technologist (PrSArchT) with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) since the statutory body was established in 2000. In addition, he is registered with a voluntary association, the South African Institute of Architectural Technologists (SAIAT) and holds Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Career

Employment in boutique architectural firms took him to Knysna, Cork (Ireland) and Cape Town. During this time, he worked on several flagship projects.

Current

After returning to Gqeberha and trading as a sole proprietor, it was time to grow – leading to the establishment of the Village Gate architectural practice.

Personal

Martin is a family man with strong ethics and keen humour. He believes that the true value of anything comes from the effort of the labour.
